Hi dear one,
We live in such a fast-paced world today, that it is easy to get lost in the daily hustle, and completely neglect the most important thing.
You!You are the most important thing in this world.Because you are the reason your family is getting fed and taken care of.
Because only you can do the things that you can do.
And because you are the very reason your community has a different voice due to the spark that you bring to it.
You are important.Since you are the most important thing in this world for you, doesn’t it make sense to take proper care of yourself.
Understandably when we talk about self-care, it can mean daunting things like a full weekend yoga retreat, or full-day spa treatment, or a deep tissue massage that takes hours.
All these take up so much time…Who has the time for it?But self-care need not take up so much time.
In fact, here are 3 things you can do daily to rapidly recharge, and take care of yourself, often in minutes.
First thing you can do is to practice power breathing. It’s a breathing technique that involves inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly in a controlled manner, and is a powerful tool for reducing stress and anxiety, increasing relaxation, and improving overall well-being.This is how you do it.
Take in a deep breath to the count of 5. Hold your breath for another count of 5. And then on the exhale, slowly release your breath to the count of 10.
Do it 10 times for each sitting. You will immediately feel a sense of relief and relaxation just from doing it.
The second thing you can do is to stretch. And no, stretching need not take a long time as well.It can be as simple as a 10 minutes stretching session where you elongate your whole body to release those tight muscles…
Or you can simply sit at your desk and do some simple neck, shoulder, and hand stretching to release tension.
The released tension will make you feel better immediately with those released tensed-up muscles. And the third thing you can do is to take power naps every day.
Power naps is one of the most underrated parts of one’s routine, but the most important in boosting your energy and giving you mental clarity. And it’s typically about 20 minutes.Do not sleep longer than 30 minutes, as you will go into a deep sleep, making you groggy when you wake up.Set your alarm to just 20 minutes for your power nap after your lunch.
Taking a power nap can provide a quick and easy way to boost energy, improve cognitive function, and reduce stress and anxiety. It’s a simple but effective tool to have in your self-care toolkit, especially if you have a busy or demanding schedule. There you go…
Three simple things you can do right now to care for yourself. And they just take minutes to do.So make sure you set in the schedule every day to do these.Your body will thank you for it.
With love & gratitude,
Rams
